We don't collectwhat we don't need.
Effective: 3 April 2026 · Broadcasteer by Abelitie Designs · Governed by PDPA 2010 (Malaysia)
The Short Version
We collect your name and email address from your Google account — that's it. Authentication is handled entirely by Google OAuth via Clerk; Broadcasteer never sees or stores a password. We don't sell your data, share it, or use it for anything beyond running your account. If you subscribe, your payment is processed by Stripe — we never see your card number.
What We Collect
- ✓Name & email address — Provided by Google at sign-in via OAuth. Used to identify your account and send transactional emails. Nothing else.
- ✓Subscription status — Which plan you are on (FREE / PRO / MAX) and billing cycle dates, provided by Stripe.
- ✓Device identifiers — A count of devices registered to your account, used to enforce your plan's seat limit.
What We Do Not Collect
- ✗Your broadcast content, stream footage, or video data
- ✗Usage analytics or behavioural tracking
- ✗Location or GPS data
- ✗Third-party advertising pixels or tracking scripts
- ✗Card numbers or banking details (Stripe handles all payment data)
- ✗Any data from your cameras or microphones beyond the live session
Why We Require an Account
Registration confirms you are a real person — not a bot or automated script. It allows us to enforce fair usage (seat limits per plan) and send you transactional emails. Sign-in is handled by Google OAuth — Broadcasteer never creates or stores a password on your behalf.
A subscription is entirely optional. You can use Broadcasteer FREE indefinitely with no payment required. Subscribing to PRO or MAX simply unlocks additional features when you are ready.
Payments (Stripe)
Subscriptions are processed by Stripe Inc., a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified payment processor. Stripe stores your card details on their secure servers — Broadcasteer does not receive, store, or have access to your card number or bank details. We only receive your subscription status (active / cancelled) and renewal dates. Stripe's own privacy policy governs your payment data.
Your Rights (PDPA 2010)
Under Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010, you have the right to:
- →Access — Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- →Correct — Update or correct inaccurate data via your account settings at any time.
- →Delete — Request permanent deletion of your account and all associated data. We complete deletions within 30 days. Stripe billing records are retained as required by Malaysian tax law (7 years).
- →Withdraw consent — You may close your account at any time to withdraw consent for data processing.
To exercise any of these rights, email info@broadcasteer.com. We respond within 14 working days.
Data Storage & Security
Authentication is managed by Clerk, Inc. (clerk.com), which handles Google OAuth on our behalf and stores your identity data (name, email, Google account ID) on their infrastructure. Broadcasteer does not store passwords — none exist. Subscription data is managed by Stripe. Data in transit is encrypted via TLS 1.3.
We do not store your broadcast sessions, stream recordings, or camera footage on our servers. Broadcasteer is a local-first tool — your production data stays on your device.
Cookies
We use session cookies to keep you logged in. We do not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, or any third-party tracking. You cannot disable session cookies and remain logged in, but you may log out at any time to clear your session.
Changes to This Policy
If we update this policy, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated by email. Continued use of Broadcasteer after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
